The Skin Reset

A 12-week programme for acne-prone and congested skin

Boldmere, Sutton Coldfield

If you've found this page, you've probably already tried a lot.

The £40 serum that was going to change everything. The cleanser your friend swore by. Three months of something from the chemist, then three months of something else, and a bathroom shelf full of half-used bottles that each got about four weeks before you moved on to the next thing.

The problem usually isn't that you picked the wrong product. It's that nobody looked at your skin, worked out what was actually going on with it, and then stayed with you long enough to see whether it worked.

That's what this is.

What it is

Six professional treatments over twelve weeks, planned around your skin rather than a fixed menu, with me checking in between each one.

I use medical-grade chemical peels and microneedling. Which of the two you get, in what order and at what strength, depends entirely on what I find at your consultation, how congested you are, how reactive your skin is, whether you're dealing with active breakouts, the marks left behind, texture, or all three. I'll build the sequence at the start and adjust it as we go.

What’s Included:

  • A full consultation and skin analysis before anything is booked in

  • Six treatments across twelve weeks

  • Baseline, mid-point and final photographs so you can see change you'd otherwise miss

  • A written homecare plan — what to use, when, and just as importantly what to stop using

  • A review at week seven where we look at what's working and change what isn't

  • Me on the end of a message throughout, if something flares or you're not sure about a product

£495, or three payments of £165. Pay in full at the consultation and it's £450.

Who it's for

  • Adults with acne-prone, congested or breakout-prone skin

  • People dealing with the marks and texture left behind after breakouts

  • Anyone who has been going in circles with over-the-counter products and wants a plan instead

Who it isn't for

I'd rather turn you away than take your money for the wrong thing.

If your acne is severe, cystic, painful or scarring, then this is not the right place to start. You should see your GP or a dermatologist. There are prescription treatments that work for that kind of skin, and no peel is a substitute for them. If you come to a consultation and that's what I find, I'll tell you straight, I won't charge you, and I'll tell you what to ask for.

I also won't treat you if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, if you're currently taking or recently finished oral isotretinoin (Roaccutane), or if there's an active skin infection in the area. We'll go through all of this properly at the consultation.

What I can and can't promise

I can promise you a plan, six proper treatments, honest answers, and that I'll tell you if it isn't working rather than selling you another course.

I can't promise you clear skin. Nobody honestly can — skin responds differently from person to person, and anyone guaranteeing you a result is telling you what you want to hear. What I'll do is show you your own photographs at week seven and week twelve and let you judge.

How it starts

A free 15-minute consultation. No obligation, no pressure, and you don't pay anything on the day unless you decide to go ahead.

We'll talk about what your skin has been doing, what you've already tried, what's realistic, and whether this is the right thing for you at all. If it isn't, I'll say so.

About me

I'm Laura. I run this clinic on my own, inside Livewell Health on Boldmere Road. I'm fully qualified and currently completing my Level 7 in aesthetics.

I'm a small clinic, which means you see the same person every visit, that person remembers what your skin did last time, and there's nobody here on commission.

Common questions people ask

Does it hurt?

Peels sting and feel hot for a few minutes — most people describe it as bearable and short. Microneedling is more uncomfortable; I use numbing cream and we go at your pace.

Will I have to hide for a week?

Depends on the treatment and the strength. A light peel might mean a day or two of looking a bit flushed and then some flaking around day three to five. I'll always tell you before we book what to expect and we'll plan around anything you've got coming up.

Can I wear makeup?

Not for 24 hours after most treatments. I'll give you the specifics each time.

What if it doesn't work?

We'll know by week seven, because we'll be looking at photographs rather than memory. If your skin isn't responding I'll tell you and we'll change the approach — and if I don't think anything I offer is going to help, I'll say that too.

Do I have to buy expensive products?

No. Your homecare plan will use things that are appropriate for your skin and your budget, and a fair bit of it is usually about stopping things rather than buying more.
